But tracing how Buddha and his representations along with Sakyamuni, Avalokiteswara and other forms change over 1500 years is truly interesting. Paper currencies from early 1900s - one from the early HSBC (?) for China, India and Australia - what a combination!

Coins Section, The Shanghai Museum

These collections, largely from two Chinese Numismatics experts, include coins from Taxila, Magadha, Kalinga, Anga, Persia, Silk Road and Alexander's Greece.The best? - A coin from the Great Khan, no not the 3 from India, the Chenghiz Khan from Mongolia.

Never seen anything like this before.
